We seem to be forming a pattern of lazy mornings\u2026 but we\u2019ve (finally) figured it out.\u00a0 There are so many daylight hours here at this time of year, noon feels like 8am, 6pm feels like noon, and bedtime feels like 8pm.\u00a0 Our days are completely turned upside down and our schedules are all screwy.\u00a0 With the sun setting close to 10:30pm, we\u2019re eating dinner later and staying up later and hence that proverbial viscous circle.\u00a0 And, the shutters!\u00a0 We have amazing shutters that roll down, at the push of a button, to not only secure the premises but to also close out as much light as you want them to.\u00a0 It\u2019s like sleeping inside of nothingness.\u00a0 But who cares?\u00a0 We\u2019re on vacation.<\/p>\n

There is an all-day market in Lannion each Thursday so off we went.\u00a0 Of course, we got there too late for any of the food but the market was still bustling with many, many other vendors selling everything from clothing to shoes to purses to mattresses to kitchen tools to flowers and plants, to\u2026 well, you get the idea.<\/p>\n

Maria bought a scarf and a shawl\/cape (I think), Joe bought a classy beret, and I never did find out what Rosanne and Rudie bought. I was too overwhelmed to buy anything, but I\u2019ll go back.\u00a0 The market is located along the river, just beside the older section of Lannion.\u00a0 Stealing glances up a couple of those streets was a bit of a tease, so we\u2019ll have to check them out the next time.<\/p>\n

(He looks so… how do you say it?\u00a0 French!)<\/p>\n

Because we had missed the food at the market, 6 adults trudged into the Super U in Tregastel.\u00a0 This one is bigger, with a better selection, so Rosanne and I had to make sure we didn\u2019t miss anything, much to the dismay of the others.<\/p>\n

Snacks at home were followed up with a visit to our beach where some of us were determined to wade into the Atlantic for photo ops.\u00a0 Yes, it was cold but, after we were in it for a bit it wasn\u2019t so bad so we walked the length of the beach in the water.\u00a0 Despite our multiple layers and hoods, others (I\u2019m assuming locals, but maybe not) went swimming.\u00a0 Better them than me!<\/p>\n

Rudie and I made a delicious meat sauce which we served on spaghetti for dinner, along with a salad, a baguette, and an apple flan for dessert.\u00a0 Oh yes, and wine.\u00a0 Life is still good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
