We ate dinner in, and I monitored my email, waiting for word from Yelena that the vet had come and gone.\u00a0 Even though I knew Chaos was ill, even though I knew this was coming and that it was time, even though I had helped make the decision to take this action, her note was final and I cried on and off for hours, until I fell asleep .<\/p>\n
