Following a late evening in which we all got caught up, we all had a bit of a sleep in this morning, then cobbled together a reasonable breakfast from our combined spoils.
Never before have I been so excited to go grocery shopping. And, never before have I gone grocery shopping (or any other shopping) with 6 adults! A nearby village, Penvenan, has a nice little grocery store and we got it done, finally, after Rosanne and I walked up and down each aisle checking out all the goods and reading what we could from the labels. Nothing like shopping for food in another country to get you up front and personal with the culture! At least this time we were wise to the ways of buying produce. Then, we all popped into one of the 2 patisseries where we bought obligatory baguettes and a strawberry custard flan for dessert.
It was a tough day so we either lounged or had naps.
Our home comes with a built-in charcoal BBQ which we decided to try out tonight. Steve and Rudie were in charge and, eventually (what seemed like hours), the coals were ready. We had a delicious meal of pork chops, salad, baked potatoes, and strawberry custard flan, along with the mandatory bottles of wine. (Those serious faces are not a good representation of how this dinner, or any other dinner, went down.)
