The last 3 days have been quiet for us. Jan and Peter left Friday morning, in the rain – that sure went by fast 🙁 We didn’t do much of anything that day, other than make a nice dinner of rolled turkey breast with fries, green beans, salad, and cider. We had no room for dessert even though we had fresh strawberries in the fridge (which we ended up eating at breakfast yesterday).
The rain stopped yesterday and the temperature seems to be climbing a wee bit. We folded beach chairs into the car and headed over to our beach for the afternoon, where we walked in the surf, then snuggled up close to the wall for protection and did some reading. For dinner, we went across the street to the bistro and each had pizza and dessert for 14e. It was also very good.
A few days ago, Danielle (our home owner) sent us a calendar for activities taking place around the Pink Granite Coast. Tonight, there was a music festival at the Palais de Congres in Perros-Guirec which we thought sounded fun. We hadn’t yet been to the Palais, nor had we driven past it, so we needed some satellite help. Our GPS wouldn’t recognize the address so we found it on Steve’s mobile and off we went – 20 minutes. Those instructions took us right through Perros-Guirec and out the other side to a roundabout with no Palais. We tried our GPS again and this time were successful. Back to where we came from, in a bit of an indirect way, but we did find it. But then, we couldn’t find parking and, at this point, we were already 15 minutes late. Oh well, it was a good idea.
We made a few stops on the way home to gaze at the ocean, then made more Scallops in Cream Sauce on Linguini for dinner. It was just as good as the first time. Then we ate Mille Feuilles for dessert.
